Granola AI is a new app for taking meeting notes that combines a regular notepad with AI transcription. It works on your Mac and integrates with popular meeting platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams.
Here's how it works:
During a meeting, you can type your own notes as usual. Meanwhile, Granola transcribes the meeting audio in the background. After the meeting ends, it combines your notes with the transcription to create a comprehensive summary. The app is context-aware, so it understands the type of meeting and the participants' roles to structure the notes appropriately.One useful feature is that your own notes appear in black text, while AI-generated content is shown in gray, making it easy to distinguish between the two. There's also a "Zoom In" feature that lets you see the exact quotes that informed specific parts of the notes.
